While we cannot see clearly the tracklist we are able to see tracks such as “Happen Ending,Rich,Lesson 5 and Born Hater” which suggests that Feast may of been a “runner up idea /prototype” with Shoebox being the final decision. There are some tracks that we haven’t heard of before , whether they were backup/prototype names of the tracks we know from Shoebox or new songs completely we cannot tell.
However it is impossible to ignore the difference in album description/ concept that was on the IF world design site
The Shoebox description/concept
The soundtrack packaging for EPIKHIGH, gives off a feeling of a “SHOEBOX,” which has an underlying meaning of meetings and separation. The words the band is trying to convey through this album and the packaging are impactful and interconnected. The cover design for the album is hand drawn and printed on a canvas-like paper. The purpose of the lyric book is to present the band’s poetic works and the enclosed artworks serve to highlight the lyrics.
The Feast description
EPIKHIGH “FEAST” music album is designed with two different CDs in contrasting colors. This contrast between the black background and the title in white and red are also symbols of the group’s musical spirit. A highlight of this album is a booklet which contains the band’s story of their journey. To fit with the album´s name, images of food are shown on the CD and the booklet. To enhance the concept of a feast, the exterior packaging is a vacuum bag to convey the idea of packaged food.
Hopefully we hear about this album somewhere in the future
update: we actually got a glimpse of this album during SIB25, apparently Tablo didn’t like the CD design – a reason why this concept didn’t go through?
